Unfortunately, nothing can be found out about the history of this stately villa. Plans were once made to renovate it, but for some reason, the renovation was halted. The building had since been stripped down to the bare structure. Virtually all the rooms in the villa are empty. Here and there, some carelessly abandoned tools lie scattered around, serving as a reminder of the renovation. Even the cellars were completely empty. So, little of interest to photograph...
The only part of the villa that still clearly reminds us of the faded glory hidden behind the imposing facades is the entrance and the stairwell. But what a stairwell! That certainly made the visit worthwhile.
