On our way to an abandoned industrial site, we tried to find a shortcut to reach our destination. In doing so, we stumbled upon this small building, with a heap of tanks, pipes, and especially valves behind it...
The pumps, kettles and valves are the former pumping station of a power plant. After the power plant was decomissioned, the buildings were consequently taken over by a rolling mill. You'll find the albums on those buildings under 'Control Room S' and 'Masters of Steel'.
I was certainly pleasantly surprised by the beautiful combination of the cold steel, the rust, and the decay, and then the soft colors that autumn had sprinkled over it. I hope the photos can convey that delicate beauty...
