It's my instinct to always take a look, even if expectations of a certain location are low... In most cases, those expectations match reality, but every now and then you come across something special. That was certainly the case at this spot. The house was packed to the rafters with all sorts of junk. You could barely maneuver around, let alone take photos. The garden also seemed like one big dump at first glance. But amidst all that clutter, we did find a few spectacular cars.
We found two examples of the Pilgrim Bulldog, a 2+2-seat touring car in the style of the 1940s. The Bulldog was developed by Den Tanner between 1980 and 1985. It was powered by a four-cylinder engine from the Morris Marina; from 1987 onwards, the engine and chassis came from the Ford Cortina/Ford Taunus. The chassis of the Bulldog Mk4 was a welded square-tube construction with four side members and upward-facing outriggers for the seatbelt mountings. Over 2,200 Bulldogs were produced.
In a shed at the back, we also found an Oldsmobile Futuramic 88 from the early 1950s. Unfortunately, the car was so surrounded by junk that we could barely get to it.
