Read moreThis former coal mine, opened in 1908, was part of a larger coal company in the Saarland. The main frame is one of the oldest, still intact main frames in this region. The only accessible building was this turbine hall, which houses two magnificent and nearly intact AEG turbines. Since almost all the windows were covered with wooden panels, it was - what you might call - an obscure affair, and taking photos proved quite a challenge.
