Read moreJoseph Dumoulin founded this brick and pipe factory in 1920 for the reconstruction following the First World War. The original facility still contains the Hoffmann ring kiln, the brick chimney, the building housing the machinery and forge, and the single-story drying sheds.
After the Second World War, the company was expanded with a clay tower, multi-story drying sheds, and a single-cylinder diesel engine for propulsion. After the factory closed in 1975, the clay pits were filled with household waste and the buildings fell into disrepair. In 2000, the entire complex was classified as a monument.
