The group to which this abandoned sawmill belonged was founded in 1999 by specialized private investors in the sector. Activities are carried out at three separate sites, which operate a total of six sawing lines. The capacity is very high, processing 6,000 m³ of softwood daily. The group is therefore among the 20 largest sawmills in Europe. The finished products are primarily exported to Germany, France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Africa; these exports account for 80% of the group's turnover. Customers are primarily industrialists in the timber frame industry and specialized distribution platforms. The company is also active in the energy sector, specifically in cogeneration and pellet production. The reason for the closure of this site is not entirely clear. It is likely that it was not profitable enough to remain within the company.
