Every blast furnace operation also includes a power plant. The gases generated during the blast furnace's smelting process were converted into electricity here, which was then used to power the rest of the operation.

This power station belonged to HF6, a blast furnace that was demolished in 2016. Despite years of inactivity, the plant has been beautifully preserved. This is perhaps due to the fact that all possible entrances on the ground floor were expertly sealed. Getting in here required some climbing. Since the rest of the site has already been largely remediated, it's only a matter of time before this beautiful example of industrial heritage is also demolished...
