Power Plant 70KV has several pseudonyms in the urbex 'milieu'. Most common among Dutch speaking explorers is 'Krachtstroom'. 'High Voltage Room' is also an alternative. Among older explorers 'Power Plant 70KV' (or just '70KV' for short) is most regularly used.

This former power plant, linked to the nearby steel industry, became obsolete with the decline of that industry. It is unclear exactly how long the building has been empty. The power plant itself has been almost completely stripped. During a first visit in late 2016, what remained was still reasonably intact. At the time, the only entrance was through a small window 4 meters above ground level, which was clearly a bridge too far for vandals and other riffraff.

In the meantime, multiple and considerably easier entrances have been 'created', which is immediately evident in the increasing vandalism. A shame... But for the time being, certainly still worth a look, and the most recent visit yielded some nice pictures.
