This former community swimming pool was abandoned in 2020 when a new, bigger and more modern swimming facility opened nearby. City council quickly decided that the old swimming pool would be demolished to make way for new sports facilities.

In 2024 the old swimming pool briefly opened its doors one last time to be the scene of an art project around music an dance. This would account for the two pianos at the bottom of the pool.

Shortly after our visit, in january 2026 the building was demolished.
