Graffiti artist Pete One, born in Ronse in 1982, has long been a familiar presence in the Belgian urbex scene. In the past, numerous works by his hand could be admired in the 'Westhoek' region. His area of operation consists of various abandoned buildings. 'Pete's School', the old and now-demolished nurses' school in Ronse, is perhaps one of the best known. The now-renovated 'Pete's Shop' and the demolished 'Pete's Hotel' are also well-known Pete One studios.
In this 'Pete's Academy', a former elementary school, we once again find a few gems in Pete One's recognizable style. As always, he drew his inspiration for these works from American pop culture. Among others, we see images of Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden).
