In an inconspicuous village in the Belgian Ardennes, this stately country house has been decaying for years. Who the residents were, why they abandoned this beautiful villa to its fate, and why the current owners are doing nothing to save whatever might still be salvageable, remains a complete mystery.

When the first photos of it surfaced, the villa was certainly still in very decent condition. At the time of our visit, a few years later, there is little sign of that left. Everything that wasn't too hot or too heavy has disappeared, and what remained has been thoroughly destroyed. Nevertheless, it was a nice visit that yielded some lovely pictures...
