Accidental and unexpected finds are often the best. During a mini road trip through France, we stopped in this small, sleepy town between two locations. There, our attention was suddenly drawn to a weed-overgrown estate with a dilapidated country house in the middle. We took a short walk around the block and soon found an opening in the fence.
The manor turned out to be practically empty, but it did have a particularly beautiful natural decay and virtually no vandalism. And all of that bathed in a radiant French summer sun. Exactly how we like to see it! So far, I haven't been able to find out anything about the history of this abandoned country house...
