It shouldn't come as a surprise anymore: exploring private homes isn't really my vibe. Yet, I secretly had high expectations for this one. In my mind, this was more of a small chateau than a manor. On arrival, however, it turned out to be more of an oversized villa.
The owners can't have been poor souls, judging by the gigantic park in which the house was built. I can't say it was a disappointment, but I had expected more. There were quite a few nice pictures to take. But as is often the case with this type of location, the entire contents had been thoroughly ransacked. It isn't very safe there anymore, by the way.
I could not find out anything about its history. The name 'Manoir de l'Avocat' suggests that it was a lawyer's residence. However, that is far from certain.
