Read moreThis manor farmhouse was built in 1810. In 1970, it was restored and converted into a country retreat, with the living quarters and a master bedroom in the main building. The stables were converted into guest accommodations, each with a bedroom, bathroom, and living room. On the other side of the yard is a large barn, decorated in an oriental theme, with Chinese lanterns and a painting of a Chinese dragon on one wall. The barn also houses a 'Stanhope Gig'—a single-seat horse-drawn carriage. It was built around 1900 by the London carriage builders Tilbury. The location takes its name from the extensive collection of Garfields on the living room mantelpiece.
