A particularly striking example of modern architecture is Liège Central Station, located in the Guillemins district. The building, composed of steel, glass, white concrete, and Belgian blue limestone, was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The structure consists of a monumental canopy 160 m long and 35 m high.
