Situated on the shores of a beautiful artificial lake, created as part of the operations of a nearby mining company, the Kürhotel offered hydrotherapy in its heyday using the methods of Sebastian Kneipp, which utilizes water, temperature, and pressure in various ways. It's unclear exactly when the hotel was built, but it's clear that it has been vacant for many years. The dilapidation is particularly noticeable on the ground floor, particularly in the kitchens and the pool and wellness area. On the upper floors, the rooms, though outdated, appear relatively intact.
The dilapidated building was bought around 2010 by a Scottish adventurer who wanted to restore the hotel to its former glory. Due to family problems, but especially financial problems, this plan amounted to nothing, and the hotel continued to steadily deteriorate.
Recently, a stir arose when it was announced that the hotel suddenly had a new owner. This new owner, it turns out, is closely involved with the far-right Reichsbürger-Gruppe "Königreich Deutschland" (Kingdom of Germany). Perhaps there is a new future for this dilapidated building after all?
