Welcome To New York

One of the most important industrial monuments of this Saxon metropolis is this factory, founded in 1885. One hundred years ago, one of the largest car manufacturers in Germany was housed here. The factory produced not only cars, but also bicycles and motorcycles. After the Second World War, car production continued under the name AUDI in a nearby town.

From then on, the machines in this factory were dismantled as part of the repair work and transported to the Soviet Union. From the 1950s onwards, office machines, aircraft engines, and hydraulic pumps, among other things, were produced here.

Today, only the beautiful, empty industrial halls remain standing, such as this industrial ballroom, once the factory's power plant. Unfortunately, it looks like the building is waiting for final demolition...
