An interferometric radio telescope of the Royal Observatory of Belgium, consisting of 48 parabolas, observes the Sun at 408 MHz at this observation station. This interferometer consists of an east-west base of 32 parabolas with a diameter of 4 meters and a north-south base of 16 parabolas. All parabolas, spaced 20 meters apart, are mounted on equatorial supports. The resolution is in the order of magnitude of 3.5 x 7.0 arcminutes.
This observation station was established in 1954 by Raymond Coutrez (1916-1998). The solar flare of April 9, 1956, was observed there. An old Würzburg radar on rails from the Second World War also used to stand there, but it was unfortunately dismantled in 2008.
