The owners and operators of this small company were originally active in the flax processing sector. When the demand for flax stagnated after the Second World War, they had to look for new activities. In the late 1950s, this company was established as a sister company.
The new company focused on the manufacture of fuel oil tanks, silos, and gears. Later, the activities of both companies were expanded even further, and they had to move to a larger location. This was found on a nearby industrial site.
After the move to the new industrial complex in the early 1990s, this location became vacant. The site underwent beautiful natural decay and remained spared from thieves and vandals until the very end…
In the course of 2019, the site was largely cleared. Most of the buildings were demolished. Given the location of the site, it seems logical that new homes will be built there.
