Domain M was once operated as a bed & breakfast and could be rented for parties and receptions. The building is perfectly suited for this purpose. It boasts a beautiful, quiet location and a spacious private car park accessible via the small street behind the building. A few years ago, operations were suspended to give the building a thorough renovation. It is not entirely clear what went wrong. Financial problems, perhaps? In any case, the renovation work was halted, and the building was left abandoned. Consequently, it did not take long before curious onlookers armed with cameras came to investigate the property.
Not long ago, it seemed as though the renovation work was about to resume, but shortly afterwards the property appeared on a real estate website, where it was offered for sale. When I stopped by about two months before this visit, there was certainly activity and the lights were on. When I passed by again today, there was no sign of that to be seen... The building had, however, been completely gutted. A blow for the "urbexers" who like to lug furniture around for "unique shots". In any case, I found it beautiful even when empty. It provides the opportunity to focus more on the details and the decay...
