I've visited several of these abandoned Belgian railway signal boxes over the past year, but this one, located at a major railway junction, was by far the most beautiful and impressive. It's still relatively untouched by vandalism, except for a few shattered windows. The signal box became redundant when train traffic control was centralized. Construction of the new complex, which will serve as a train control center and training center, began in 2011. It opened in 2016, after which the signal box became vacant.
