Apart from the beautiful grand piano, this magnificent chateau was virtually empty. There were still lovely details here and there, such as the bathroom and the staircases. The building clearly needs a facelift, but there is clearly no sign of serious decay (yet). The small castle was named Chateau Pentagon because of the building's distinctive floor plan. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything about its history...
The estate is monitored by a caretaker. At the moment of our visit, he suddenly appeared in the entrance hall. As soon as he realized we meant no harm, he relaxed. A pleasant conversation followed, and we were even allowed to finish our photos. Incidentally, the small castle can be legally visited for photoshoots, but normally that requires payment... A word to the wise...
