Information about this small castle is scarce. The neoclassical main building with Italian influences dates from the second half of the 19th century. It is said to have served as the Hauptkommandantur during the First World War. In more recent times, the main building was extended with an annex, possibly in anticipation of the intention to convert the chateau into a hotel and restaurant.
The hotel and restaurant enjoyed name and fame for a long time, but ultimately did not escape the crisis and had to file for bankruptcy in 2009. Two years later, the establishment reopened with a new look and a new concept.
The hotel rooms made way for conference and meeting spaces, and the kitchen was staffed with chefs of illustrious names. In 2014, however, things went wrong again, and the Michelin-starred restaurant closed its doors once more and for good…
