This chateau is not the most famous landmark in the area. After all, just a few hundred meters away is a well-known medieval moated castle, about which much has been written. However, I could find absolutely nothing about the background of this building. It is not really a chateau either, but rather a country house. It appears to be a manor farm converted into a holiday residence.

The most striking room in the building is a sitting room/library that was painted a striking sky blue. It is because of this room that many gave it the name 'Chateau Bleu'. Personally, I was struck more by the massive presence of books. There is not a single room in the building where you will not find books. Books on the most diverse subjects, from classical literature, to art and science, to more technical books. I therefore prefer the name 'Chateau des Livres'.
