After a day of inhaling rust and dust in old factories, we still had some time left before sunset. On our way back, we passed this 'Chateau Arabia' and decided to take a look.
This small chateau (actually a rather large villa) was once a beautiful structure. Very little of it remains today. The abandoned chateau quickly attracted the attention of thieves and vandals, and everything of any value disappeared without trace. The unfortunate and harsh reality for many urban exploration locations of this type, whose addresses are all too easily and carelessly swapped and shared... On the ground floor, there are still some charming nooks to be found. The upper floors, with the bedrooms, have been reduced to such a disarray that it's practically a shame to waste your camera on them...
Little interesting information can be found about the building's history. It is therefore not considered architectural heritage or worthy of protection. The building's owner is an Arab sheikh. This was clearly evident in the portraits that adorned the salon walls at the time, even in the first series that appeared online. The sheikh apparently attaches little or no value to the building or its contents. The villa is wide open to the elements on all sides. It won't be long before the condition deteriorates to such an extent that demolition remains the only solution. Such a shame...
