This chapel was built between 1936 and 1937 in the then-popular Art Deco style. Attention is immediately drawn to the imposing stained-glass window above the entrance. Here, the architect played with the principles of the Reuleaux triangle (a triangle with slightly curved sides). He carried this theme through the entire chapel, both inside and out. The whole chapel is virtually perfectly symmetrical.
The little building itself remained well preserved and escaped thieves and vandals. Unfortunately, it did not escape the questionable taste in decoration of the devout believers who frequented the little chapel. They crammed the beautiful structure full of all kinds of kitschy trinkets to underscore their devotion. Nevertheless, it is more than worth a visit!
The chapel has since been sold and sealed off. The new owner will restore it. It is not yet clear what its new purpose will be.
