Strijp S is a modern residential development in a former industrial area of ​​Eindhoven, which has been repurposed and redeveloped into a modern residential zone where the industrial vibe is still clearly visible. Within it, we find Blok 61, constructed between 2013 and 2017. It is a seven-story apartment building with 96 residential units and two commercial spaces, consisting of two wings surrounding a courtyard. Along this courtyard are galleries, which serve as entrances to the apartments and are connected by a waterfall staircase. By painting the entire courtyard, including the galleries and stairs, a sky blue, an oasis of tranquility is created.
