This massive industrial site consists mainly of empty warehouses. Until a few years ago, these warehouses housed a company specializing in the recycling of waste paper, cardboard, and plastic. The company has two locations it operates from, not only in Belgium, but also in France and the Netherlands.
The company temporarily occupied this site after a major fire destroyed its previous location, and before moving to a more modern, more suitable new site. A project developer is currently clearing the site and constructing 12 apartment buildings, each containing 243 apartments.
Although enormous, the old industrial complex didn't have much left to offer. It consisted mainly of large, empty industrial warehouses. Graffiti artists left behind some of their artwork in some of these warehouses, which made the visit somewhat worthwhile.
