Read moreRemnants of an abandoned factory, with an impressive conveyor belt and a beautifully dilapidated administrative section. Nothing about the history of this factory, or even its purpose, can be found online. The conveyor belts and the contents of the silos they run over suggest it might have been a former concrete factory. However, the complex is located in a small, sleepy town, once known as a mining town, connected to the surrounding blast furnace and steelworks. It is therefore not inconceivable that this abandoned factory was once part of a mining operation. The site is largely abandoned, but near the entrance, the largest of the sheds is clearly still in use for storing materials and equipment.
