New Urban Relics

New Urban Relics

Urban Relics has entered a new chapter — and it’s one worth celebrating. The complete makeover of the website was a conscious and necessary step forward, not to change the essence of Urban Relics, but to better reflect it. The heart of Urban Relics remains exactly the same: the photography, the stories, the values, and the content you know and trust have not changed one bit. What has changed is the way it’s presented.

The new design brings a fresh, modern look that does justice to the richness of the content. It’s clearer, more intuitive, and better aligned with today’s digital expectations — making it easier and more enjoyable to explore everything Urban Relics stands for. Think of it as restoring a historic building: the foundations stay intact, but the space is refreshed so it can continue to inspire for years to come.

Alongside the visual renewal, the website has also taken an important step toward openness and accessibility by translating the content from Dutch to English. This allows Urban Relics to reach a broader, international audience while sharing its vision beyond borders. At the same time, nothing has been taken away — visitors can still use Google Translate to read the site in their preferred language. Be aware though that Google Translate is… well… ‘less than perfect’.

This transformation isn’t about leaving the past behind; it’s about honoring it while making room for growth. Urban Relics is the same at its core — just renewed, refined, and ready to be discovered by even more people around the world.

NOTICE

Not all of the content of the old site has been transferred to the new one yet. As long as that process is ongoing, the old site will be kept available. You can reach it by clicking the link below in the footer ‘Former Site (Dutch)’ or on mobile phone in the menu in the top right hand corner.
